Adults and teenagers alike love to indulge in online computer gaming and spend hours on end playing computer games against complete strangers online. This has been a growing trend since 2001 and figures indicate that the number of people playing computer games is going to rise by eight folds by next year. Computer games today are a 47 billion dollars industry; this industry will only keep growing due to more consumer demand.

With so many people playing computer games throughout day, some researcher and analysts say that many have already become computer game addicts and have succumbed to playing computer games and at the same ignoring relationships, work and food. There have several reported deaths due to heart failure for people who just sit and stare at the computer screen for days on end without drinking or eating anything. This has led the medical community to issue warning and recognize the term computer game addiction since it is commonly prevailing in every household. Computer games not only cause eye sight to suffer, but also cause a lot of other health complications.
