Go is a strategy game. It was invented in China about 4000 years ago and it was introduced in Japan around the year 800 AD. In time, Eastern Asian players have become extremely skilled at this game and nowadays go is a national Japanese game. Its spread in the eastern hemisphere towards the 19th century lead to the foundation of clubs, associations and federations of go all over the world. Go is an aptitude game and it does not involve any hazard element. Pieces are placed strategically on the board and both players try to build and control a larger territory than the opponent’s one. The result of the game is always determined by the general level of the decisions quality. All the movements are visible on the board.
